New Entry Regulations

As of June 25th 2021, Germany has opened its borders to fully vaccinated people. Entry from third countries will generally be permitted again starting 25 June 2021. The traveler must have received the last vaccination dose that is necessary for full vaccination.  More information here

Kuwaiti or non-EU nationals need a visa in order to enter Germany.

Holders of Kuwaiti diplomatic (red colour) and special passports (green colour) may travel to Germany without obtaining a visa prior to the trip if they hold new biometric, e-chip passports and if their stay does not exceed 90 days per half year (Schengen-Visa“).

The Visa Section of the German Embassy in Kuwait is processing over 60.000 visa applications a year from more than 190 nationalities.

To provide a fast and comfortable visa application process, the Visa Application Center of the German Embassy in Kuwait is operated by VFS Global

The type of visa you require depends on how long you plan to stay. Are you planning a short visit to Germany, e.g. for a holiday? Or would you like to stay longer, e.g. to attend university?

Please choose how long you are planning to stay.
